How Much Water Should I Drink?

A bi-product of ketosis is that it can be taxing on the kidneys. It causes a temporary spike in BUN (blood urea nitrogen) so to remedy this you need to keep flushing out your system. You do that by drinking a lot of water.

There are a million calculations on how much water to consume, but they're irrelevant. Drink a lot of water. Drink a large glass with each meal and one to two in between meals. If you drink a lot of coffee or other diuretics, drink a 1:1 of coffee to water as well.

Kylene's Tip - drink half your body weight in ounces in water. Do not skimp on the water or you will not lose weight.
